A floating causeway delivers relief aid from the Military Sealift Command maritime prepositioning ship USNS 1st Lt. Jack Lummus (T-AK-3011) while local Haitians prepare the dock for landing in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The Lummus is operated for MSC by American Overseas Marine Corp. and manned in all licensed positions by American Maritime Officers. Following are photos of the USNS Lummus – one of several ships manned by AMO involved in the humanitarian relief effort in Haiti – loading cargo at Blount Island Command in Jacksonville, Fla., then delivering in Haiti.
