| Earlier this year, an experimental crane was installed on the Flickertail State. The crane is designed to transfer cargo between vessels at sea, a concept pivotal for sea basing. This is the first crane of its kind to be installed on a seagoing vessel and is currently in testing. Here the crane is being tested for stability while the ship is rocked back and forth, simulating at-sea conditions. |
