| Two of the oceanographic survey ships, the USNS Bruce C. Heezen and the USNS Pathfinder were crewed in October. The USNS Mary Sears and the USNS Henson will crew in November and the USNS Sumner, USNS Bowditch and USNS McDonnell will crew in December. Military Sealift Command recently awarded a contract for the operation of seven T-AGS oceanographic survey ships to 3PSC LLC. Six of the oceanographic survey vessels operate in MSC’s Special Mission Ships Program and perform acoustic, biological, physical and geophysical surveys, providing much of the U.S. military’s information on the ocean environment. The vessel collects data in coastal regions around the world. American Maritime Officers represents all licensed officers in the 3PSC fleet. |
