| The Miriam W. Cooper secures the ex-USNS Courier, one of three decommissioned Navy ships that broke away in the Industrial Canal near New Orleans. Working with Domangue aboard the Miriam W. Cooper were Mate Steve Fazekas and Chief Engineer Shawn Doyle. After several days of salvage work, Chief Engineer Raymond Donahue relieved Doyle in Crescent’s extended efforts to clear the Industrial Canal. Capt. Roy Helmstetter also participated, relieving Domangue during salvage operations. |
