A christening ceremony for the Jones Act tanker Pennsylvania was held Dec. 14 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Pennsylvania is the first of two tankers purchased by Crowley Maritime Corporation from Aker Philadelphia Shipyard. The second tanker, Florida, was christened Jan. 30. Both ships are operated by Intrepid Personnel and Provisioning and American Maritime Officers members man the tankers in all licensed positions. Here with Crowley Chairman, President and CEO Tom Crowley, AMO officers aboard the Pennsylvania included Captain Scott Davis, Second Mate Nick Sabbath, First Assistant Engineer Chad Morin, Second A.E. Gerry Atkins, Chief Mate Timothee Paternoster, Third Mate Glen Koshak, Third A.E. Evan Bussenger and Chief Engineer Pete Davis. |
