| First Assistant Engineer Darrin O'Connor welcomed seven sailors from the El Salvador Navy aboard the HSV 2 Swift for a three-hour information exchange on the fundamentals of small craft electrical engineering. The HSV 2 Swift was in El Salvador as part of Southern Partnership Station 2011, an annual deployment of U.S. ships to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean and Latin America involving information sharing with the navies, coast guards, military and civilian services throughout the region. |
