In early March, the cable ships Durable and Tycom Reliance completed a cable transfer from ship to ship in Singapore. The Tycom Reliance was the first of six ships in Tyco’s Reliance Class fleet and the Durable was the final ship in the class to be built. The Durable has returned to cable maintenance duties while the Tycom Reliance has returned to installation work. During the port call, the Durable also completed overhauls on two of her five main diesel engines, as well as other annual ABS regulatory work. All officers on both ships are represented by American Maritime Officers.
