The USNS Paul Buck, operated by Ocean Ships Inc. for Military Sealift Command, recently completed its fuel delivery mission for Operation Deep Freeze 2010, the annual resupply mission to the National Science Foundation's McMurdo Station in Antarctica. This year marks the 25th anniversary of T-5 vessel service to U.S. research stations in Antarctica. The vessels have transported approximately 150,000,000 gallons of fuel to Antarctica, often in extreme ice conditions, without any environmental incident. The USNS Paul Buck is manned in all licensed positions by American Maritime Officers.
