On behalf of AMO families, I would like to take a moment to recognize the life and work of Wendy Solomon-Hernandez, who passed away in September of this year.
Wendy worked for the AMO Medical Plan as a case manager. She started with AMO Plans in 1991 and retired in January, leaving her work after her own health began to fail. During her career, she helped many AMO members and families through difficult times, coordinating their treatment and support with great compassion. Wendy connected very well with our families and took terrific care of them during our long absences at sea. She was both our angel and a mother tigress in our corner. Her career dedication to helping the membership provides a reflection on the caring individuals working for our Plans.
Our angel during my family's most trying times is resting now. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. During this holiday season, I offer my condolences and lasting appreciation for the difference she has made in our lives.
