American Maritime Officers has established a new three-year agreement covering all vessels in the fleet operated by Seabulk Towing and manned by AMO members.
The new contract features across-the-board wage increases in each year of the agreement - 2.5 percent, 2 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively - and a first-year bonus for all AMO members working in the fleet.
Serving on the negotiating committee with the AMO national executive vice president and AMO national executive board member for inland waters were rank-and-file AMO members Jerry Borden (Tampa Bay), John Clifford (Port Everglades) and Gerry Keating (Port Canaveral).
The AMO negotiating committee also secured as part of the agreement all actuarially required increases in contributions to the AMO Plans, including the AMO Pension Plan (rehabilitation plan), the Defined Contribution Plan, AMO Medical Plan, AMO 401(k) and AMO Master Operating Trust (Safety & Education Plan).
