Open slots are available in the two-week Advanced Shiphandling for Third Mates Course beginning May 10 at STAR Center. Successful completion of the course by third mates provides 60 days of sea time equivalency toward the raise-of-grade requirements for a second mate's license. All eligible AMO members and applicants can submit an application to attend.
