OSG America in has taken delivery of the 45,556 dead-weight-ton crude oil barge OSG 350 and the 12,000 horsepower tug OSG Vision, which together form the articulated tug/barge OSG Vision.
The Jones Act ATB was designed for lightering services in Delaware Bay, offloading large tankers.
"The completion of this ATB and the new jobs it is providing for AMO members with OSG America are welcome and encouraging," said AMO National Executive Board Member for Inland Waters Charles Murdock. "We're looking forward to years of effective service aboard the OSG Vision."
The vessel was completed by VT Halter Marine and departed for Delaware Bay last week. The OSG Vision is manned by American Maritime Officers members in licensed positions and is operating under the same AMO contract as the other articulated tug/barges in the OSG America fleet.
