STAR Center adds Anti-Piracy Seminar as optional addition to Vessel Security Officer Course

STAR Center has added a one-day Anti-Piracy Seminar for Officers Transiting High-Risk Waters to the curriculum. This one-day program will be an optional addendum to STAR Center's two-day Vessel Security Officer Course.

Initial dates for 2010 have been scheduled as follows: April 7, July 9 and Sept. 10.

The seminar on April 7 will include a presentation and participation by commercial contracted security experts currently providing services onboard U.S.-flagged vessels transiting high-risk waters.
