AMO family benefits from AMO Plans scholarship program

AMO member Captain Thua Pham's two children, John and Theresa, attended Hampton University and Virginia Commonwealth University, respectively, with help from the AMO Plans college scholarship benefit. Both continued their education at medical school.

"We would like to express our gratitude to AMO and the AMO Plans for the scholarships for our two children, John Pham and Theresa Pham. Their achievements, hard work and dedication paid off," Thua Pham said.

All "active" American Maritime Officers members in good standing are eligible for a $3,000 per year non-competitive scholarship for each dependent child attending college as a full-time student, so long as a 2.0 or higher grade point average is maintained.
