Michael Wettlaufer during the 2022 Admiral of the Ocean Sea dinner and award ceremony on October 28. On the evening of December 22, 2021, while the Maersk Peary was transiting the Aegean Sea north of Crete on the way to Suez Canal, the ship was called upon to participate in a search and rescue operation by Rescue Center Piraeus. A vessel had capsized the previous day and the plotted route to the Suez Canal would take the Maersk Peary within 13.5 nautical miles from the location where the vessel was initially reported being capsized with possibly 60 people. During the search, the Maersk Peary located and recovered a survivor, brought him onboard and provided care until the Greek Coast Guard arrived on scene to transfer the survivor.

American Maritime Officers member Chief Mate A.J. Quinn accepted a Mariner's Plaque on behalf of the officers and crew of the Pacific Tracker at the 2022 Admiral of the Ocean Sea dinner and award ceremony. Congratulating him at the ceremony was President and Chairman of American Maritime Officers Service Anthony Naccarato. The Pacific Tracker served a critical role in saving the life of a sailor who suffered medical complications during a yacht race off the coast of California in July 2022. The Pacific Tracker was conducting post mission operations when Captain Jeff Royer received a call from the U.S. Coast Guard explaining an emergency situation had developed in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. When the Pacific Tracker arrived at the prearranged location, Captain Royer maneuvered the ship to make a lee to provide the safest most stable conditions to deploy Chief Mate Quinn, Second Mate Ben Rowland and Second Assistant Engineer Dave Veldkamp in the fast rescue boat to transfer the patient from the sailboat to the fast rescue boat, then recover the fast rescue boat with the patient onto the Pacific Tracker. The captain made arrangements to meet a Coast Guard helicopter off the coast of San Francisco, which was 570 miles east of the rescue location. The vessel then steamed at full speed to meet the USCG helicopter at the predetermined location.
