Pension questions? Rely only on AMO Pension Plan for accurate information


All deep-sea, Great Lakes and inland waters AMO members are reminded to rely exclusively on AMO Pension Plan personnel for accurate answers to specific questions about retirement benefit eligibility and status.

AMO officials, representatives and employees can speak only in general terms about the nationwide retirement crisis and its impact on the defined benefit AMO Pension Plan. These AMO officials, representatives and employees are not equipped to answer specific questions about individual cases during AMO membership meetings or during visits to deep-sea, Great Lakes and inland waters vessels.

Each AMO member's pension case is unique, and each requires individual detailed attention from the AMO Pension Plan.

AMO deep-sea, Great Lakes and inland waters members are urged to direct all pension benefit questions to AMO Pension Plan personnel before the end of the Plan's fiscal year on September 30, 2009.
