Photos: USNS Fisher serves in international exercises in the Pacific

OS 21-2 is the largest annual bilateral field training exercise in Japan between the U.S. Army and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF), with approximately 1,400 U.S personnel and 1,600 JGSDF personnel in participation. With both its air and sea facilities, MCAS Iwakuni is uniquely positioned to support the dynamic employment of forces across the Indo-Pacific area of operations.

Preparing to lower the RHIB in the water in support of 7th Transportation Expeditionary Brigade exercise 'Forager' as part of Defender Pacific 2021 aboard the USNS Fisher were Chief Mate Rebecca Main, Third Mate Philip Scott and Third Assistant Engineer Michael Mills. Forager '21 is designed to test and refine the Army and the Corps' ability to deploy land-power forces to the Pacific, execute command and control, and effectively conduct multi-domain operations throughout Oceania.
