No injuries in fire aboard M/V Roger Blough in winter lay-up at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding


At approximately 1:30 a.m. on February 1, a fire broke out on the M/V Roger Blough. At the time of the incident, the Roger Blough was in winter lay-up at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. There were no injuries to the crew, and the fire was extinguished later the same morning.

The Roger Blough is operated by Keystone Shipping Company of Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. Representatives from Keystone Shipping are on the scene and are cooperating fully with the U.S. Coast Guard to assess the damage and to determine the cause.
