Photos: M/V Jean Anne gives lift home to new world record holder

Aurelia "Lia" Ditton is greeted by Captain Mike Richie on the M/V Jean Anne in October, here in the port of Nawiliwili, Hawaii. In September, Ditton set the world record for a woman rowing across the Pacific Ocean from San Francisco to Honolulu, Hi. - completing the journey in just over 86 days. The Jean Anne was tasked with returning Ditton and her 21-foot boat back to San Diego. The Jean Anne is owned by Pasha Hawaii and is manned in all licensed positions by American Maritime Officers.

While on the M/V Jean Anne, Lia Ditton shadowed Chief Mate Kaitlin O'Brien, here posing with the vessel Ditton used to set the women's rowing world record for solo voyage across the Pacific Ocean.
