Reminder: AMO members and applicants should use secure file transfer site to transmit documents to union
Active members and applicants of American Maritime Officers are reminded that the union maintains a secure file transfer site accessible through any Web browser specifically so AMO members and applicants can transmit documents to the union, such as scans/photos of passports, Merchant Mariner Credentials, TWIC cards and medical certificates, among others.
Using the union's secure transfer site will allow the transmission of files via an encrypted platform to safeguard the security of personal identifying information contained in these documents.
Email is not a secure form of communication and should not be used to transmit personal identifying information, such as Social Security Numbers and other similar information, to the union.
Photos or scanned copies of the documents you wish to transmit to the union will need to be saved on the computer or device from which you access the union's secure file transfer site.
In the address field of the Web browser on your device, enter the following URL:
https://securetransfer.amo-union.org/
Active AMO members and applicants can log into the file transfer site with their username and password for the AMO Dispatching website. Once logged in, tabs on the screen will prompt the user to locate files on their computer or device and upload them to the union. AMO Member Services will automatically be notified once a file has been uploaded to the site.
