M/T Empire State maintains MSC charter

In late July, Military Sealift Command announced American Petroleum Tankers has been selected for an approximately five-year charter award for the Jones Act tanker M/T Empire State, which is the incumbent ship operating under the current MSC charter. This contract includes one 12-month firm period, three one-year options and one 11-month option period. Work will be performed worldwide, and is expected to be completed by July 2025. The Empire State is operated for APT by Intrepid Personnel and Provisioning and is manned in all licensed positions by American Maritime Officers.
