REAL ID requirement for U.S. air travel takes effect October 1, 2020; valid TWIC card will be considered acceptable form of identification


The Transportation Security Administration has announced that, beginning October 1, 2020, every air traveler 18 years of age and older will need identification compliant with REAL ID requirements to fly within the United States. The Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is listed by the TSA among the acceptable forms of identification.
