STAR Center: Important information for Nautical Institute certified dynamic positioning officers

The revalidation of Nautical Institute Dynamic Positioning (DP) certificates began on January 1, 2015 and was phased over five years, concluding December 31, 2019.

When can I revalidate my Offshore DP Certificate?

Any DPO whose DP Certificate was issued before 31 December 2014 and has not yet been revalidated should complete their DP revalidation applications and send in their documents before December 31, 2019.

DPOs due to revalidate their certificates in 2019 should apply and send their documents into the Nautical Institute for processing the same month as their original certificate was issued.
