Crew of USNS Kocak recognized for service in Resolute Sun

In June, Military Sealift Command recognized the crew of the USNS SGT Matej Kocak (T-AK 3005) for the support they provided during Exercise Resolute Sun off the coast of Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek in Fort Story, Va. The USNS Kocak embarked more than 100 personnel from Army 7th Transportation Brigade - Expeditionary, Commander, Naval Beach Group Two and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command to load and discharge 76 pieces of rolling stock and 11 modular causeway sections. The causeway sections were part of the 'Trident Pier,' which was assembled for the exercise to move cargo to the beach. The USNS Kocak is operated by Crowley Liner Services for MSC and is manned in all licensed positions by American Maritime Officers.
