As part of an ongoing effort to contain and reduce operating costs at American Maritime Officers, the number of AMO newspapers mailed to vessels operating in deep-sea and Great Lakes trades will be reduced beginning with the June edition.
Following the distribution of the June edition, any captain or chief engineer who would prefer their vessel receive additional copies of the AMO newspaper on a monthly basis can contact the Editorial Department via to increase the number of newspapers mailed to their vessel.
This measure was addressed in an open discussion among AMO officials and staff and AMO member observers in attendance during the AMO National Executive Board meetings in May.
