AMO members encouraged to attend ballot count for AMO election on December 3

Members of American Maritime Officers are encouraged to attend and observe the ballot count for the 2018 AMO election. The ballot count will be conducted Monday, December 3 in the second floor auditorium at AMO National Headquarters at 601 S. Federal Highway.

In order to be considered eligible, ballots are required to be received at the depository by Saturday, December 1. The balloting period for this election will conclude at that time.

On Monday, December 3 the tallying process will proceed as follows:
  • 9 a.m. EST: Representatives of TrueBallot, Inc., the members of the rank-and-file AMO Tallying Committee and AMO General Counsel will meet at AMO headquarters in the auditorium.
  • 10 a.m. EST (approximate): Representatives of TrueBallot, Inc., the members of the AMO Tallying Committee, AMO General Counsel and AMO Executive Assistant to the National President Marie Doruth, as well as any AMO members in good standing who so choose, will travel to the depository to collect the ballots.
  • The ballots will be transported to the auditorium on the second floor of AMO National Headquarters, at which time tallying will begin.
  • The regular AMO membership meeting will begin at 1 p.m. on December 3, adjourn to observe the tallying process and reconvene when the tallying process has been completed.
The following AMO members have been elected to serve on the Tallying Committee in accordance with the AMO National Constitution:
