USNS Brittin recognized for service in ongoing Puerto Rico relief efforts


The following post can be viewed on the Military Sealift Command Facebook page. The USNS Brittin is operated for MSC by General Dynamics American Overseas Marine and is manned in all licensed positions by American Maritime Officers.

USNS Brittin (T-AKR 305) is currently supporting FEMA's ongoing relief efforts in Puerto Rico following the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The Bob Hope-class, roll-on roll-off ship delivered 300 mobile generators, 43 bucket trucks, 33 digger derricks, one UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, as well as additional supplies, from Joint Base Charleston Naval Weapons Station, South Carolina.
