The following resolution was approved unanimously by the American Maritime Officers National Executive Board.
2009 RESOLUTION (2) OF THE AMO NATIONAL EXECUTIVE BOARD:
DUES RATE FOR CONTRACTED SHORESIDE EMPLOYMENT
WHEREAS, ARTICLE V, Finances of the AMO National Constitution, provides dues rates to be paid by AMO members, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1, Subsection (c) of ARTICLE V, the AMO National Executive Board shall have the authority to set a dues rate for those members engaged in shoreside employment.
WHEREAS, certain members are employed shoreside through agreements with Faststream Recruitment Inc. or other existing AMO-contracted companies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the AMO National Executive Board adopts the following dues rate for members employed in these positions:
Dues Rate – Equivalent to First Assistant Engineer, Chief Officer: $376.00 per quarter
All other provisions of ARTICLE V of the AMO National Constitution shall remain in full force and effect.
