The U.S. Coast Guard has issued a Marine Safety Information Bulletin to remind vessel owners, operators and masters of the requirement under SOLAS for crew members with enclosed space or rescue responsibilities to participate in an enclosed space entry and rescue drill onboard the vessel at least once every two months. The bulletin includes guidance on shipboard risk assessments and identification of enclosed spaces for documentation in a vessel's safety management system.
