Ballots mailed for referendum on proposed changes to AMO National Constitution


Ballots have been mailed to all American Maritime Officers deep-sea, Great Lakes and inland waters book members at their home addresses for a secret-ballot referendum on proposed changes to the AMO National Constitution, which were approved by the union's National Executive Board.

The 90-day secret-ballot referendum is being administered by independent firm True Ballot Inc. Included in the ballot package is a copy of the AMO National Constitution with all proposed amendments clearly marked for reference in conjunction with the existing language of the document.

All ballots must be received by 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on March 16, 2009, or they will not be counted. If you do not receive a ballot, or if you lose or destroy your ballot, you may request a duplicate by contacting AMO and making a request for a duplicate ballot:
