Appropriations bill includes full funding for MSP in fiscal year 2015

The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives have approved legislation making continuing appropriations to fund most of the federal government through the end of fiscal year 2015.

Among other things, the legislation provides full funding for the Maritime Security Program fleet of 60 U.S.-flagged ships through the end of the fiscal year.

Separately, the legislation funds the Department of Homeland Security through February, rather than the end of the fiscal year. The President is expected to sign the appropriations legislation before a temporary government funding measure expires this week.
