The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has reported some Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) cards were recently produced without fingerprint template files. According to the TSA, the cards that are potentially missing the file have expiration dates ranging from May 22, 2019 to May 30, 2019. Not all cards in this date range are affected. The TWIC cards missing the fingerprint template are otherwise functional with readers and are valid, the TSA reported.
Replacement cards will be available at no cost to individuals who received the TWIC cards with missing information, according to the TSA. A report from the TSA regarding this issue is available online.
A listing of the affected cards by serial number is also available online. The list does not include names.
