The Maritime Administration has scheduled a second National Maritime Strategy Symposium for May 6. The purpose of this second public meeting is to gather ideas to improve the utilization, vitality and competitiveness of the nation's marine transportation system. The principal areas of focus will include, but are not limited to, U.S. ports, domestic shipping and U.S. shipyards. American Maritime Officers will be participating in the symposium.
