AMO DC Plan reminder: the default investment fund and directing your assets

As a reminder to each American Maritime Officers Defined Contribution Plan participant, unless you have made changes to your investment options, contributions to your Defined Contribution Plan (DC Plan) account are automatically directed into the default investment option - BlackRock Global Allocation Fund.

You can choose how the money in your DC Plan account is invested. You may invest in as many of the 26 options as you would like, or in one of the Plan's four pre-designed risk-based "model portfolios." When you began to receive contributions to your DC Plan account, information was provided to you regarding the available investment options, as well as information on how to provide investment instructions to the Plan.

For additional information regarding the investment alternatives available under the Plan, or for assistance in diversifying your DC Plan investment, please contact your Morgan Stanley financial advisors at (800) 975-7061. You can log into your account online, or contact The Newport Group toll-free at (800) 650-1065.

If at any time you elect to transfer any assets invested in the default investment fund to any of the other investment options available under the Plan, there are no fees, expenses or other restrictions associated with transfers out of the default investment fund.

If you have not reallocated assets in your account or selected alternative investments, your assets will continue to be invested in the BlackRock Global Allocation Fund A ("fund"). This fund's objective is to provide long-term appreciation and capital preservation by investing in an appropriate mix of equity and fixed-income securities. The fund was selected based on the characteristics of all participants in the Plan.

A fact sheet and prospectus describing each investment fund can be obtained online by visiting www.plandestination.com, logging into your account, selecting the "Investments" tab and clicking on the fund name.
