AMO launches online CHART system to aid members with career assessment, new opportunities

The American Maritime Officers online Career History, Assessment, Recruitment, Tracking (CHART) system is now available for AMO members through the AMO Dispatching Web site.

The CHART system is in place to assist AMO members interested in:
  • International employment, including positions aboard liquefied natural gas carriers

  • Shoreside employment opportunities

  • Observer billets in the AMO tankship DL and LNG observation programs
The CHART System is a user-friendly database system, which can be used by AMO members to format relevant career history information into a standardized CV/Resumé automatically. The system also links with each member’s training record history.

CHART can also be used to assess a member’s training needs for employment or consideration in a given sector or program. It also provides the ability to target AMO members with certain skills, experience and endorsements for positions available through a competitive hiring process.

Once logged into the AMO Dispatching Web site at https://www.amodispatching.com, AMO members are able to select the CHART-Deck or CHART-Engine section, based upon license, to access their CHART profiles.

A detailed report on CHART will be available online this week in the October edition of American Maritime Officer. For more information on CHART, AMO members can contact Director of Member Training and Officer Development Jerry Pannell at (800) 942-3220 ext. 7507 or by .
