STAR Center will provide the five-day Military Sealift Command Commercial Marine Engineering Officer (CMEO) N7 Technical Training Curriculum program for junior engineers (second and third assistant engineers only), which is composed of the following elements:
This course satisfies all contractually required engineering training requirements in each of the topic areas and provides training required to meet performance-based standards contained in MSC contracts. Prior to this program, MSC and the U.S. Navy provided specific training courses to satisfy each area. This course brings all these individual topic areas together at one time.

MSC Commercial Marine Engineering Officer Training for junior engineers at STAR Center

- SAMM - Overview & Utilities Module/Logbook
- Chemical Program
- Lube Oil Analysis
- Supply/ShipClip/SM5
- Vibration Program & Data Collection
- Safety Management System/Environmental Safety/Virtual Technical Library
- MSC Organization/Fuel Regulation
