Military Sealift Command has awarded a five-year operating charter for eight Watson class large medium-speed roll-on/roll-off ships to Ocean Shipholdings. American Maritime Officers will continue to represent all licensed officers working aboard the LMSRs under the new charter.
The labor package AMO provided to its operating companies for this charter was submitted under the Tripartite Agreement. The current operating charter for the eight LMSRs expires Sept. 30. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
