Gen. McNabb named new commander of U.S. Transportation Command

Gen. Duncan McNabb, U.S. Air Force, has been named commander of the U.S. Transportation Command after being confirmed Aug. 1 by the Senate for the position.

Gen. McNabb replaces Gen. Norton Schwartz, who was recently confirmed as U.S. Air Force chief of staff.

"I know U.S. Transportation Command's success depends on the strength of the total force and of our industry partners. I will work to continue to strengthen and leverage these partnerships across the entire joint deployment and distribution enterprise," McNabb said.
