American Maritime Officers has posted a statement by AMO National President Tom Bethel detailing the facts and actual circumstances involved with AMO's new agreement with Liberty Maritime Corporation, under which AMO is manning five U.S.-flagged bulk carriers in Liberty's fleet in all licensed positions - deck and engine.

Active AMO members can read the statement in the secure section of the AMO Web site. To access the statement, active AMO members will need to:
- Go to the AMO home page
- Click on the "Member Log In" tab on the left side of the home page
- Enter the User ID and Password for your online account with AMO Dispatching (if you don't have an online ID with Dispatching, there is a link at the bottom of the page to set up an account)
