STAR Center has received and will now provide the following three courses from Military Sealift Command (MSC):

- One-day Security Watchstander Advanced -- this course is required annually for all Ship Reaction Force members. It includes handcuffing techniques, baton use and takedowns.
- Three-day Ship's Reaction Force (SRF) Team Member -- this course is required every three years for SRF members. It replaces the SST course. Note: all students must successfully complete the Practical Weapons Course (PWC) on day one of this course to continue.
